Free Parmesan Zucchini Frites Recipe

The Parmesan Zucchini Frites are a healthier alternative to French fries or any commercial fries. Drool over these low-carb fries while packing in all the nutrients.

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium-sized zucchinis⁣
  • 1 large egg⁣
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese⁣
  • 1/4 tbsp garlic powder⁣
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper⁣
  • 1/4 tsp salt⁣
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 ° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.⁣
  2. Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise to make eight long sticks. Once crosswise, make 16 sticks out of each.⁣
  3. Beat an egg in a bowl. Now take another bowl and mix garlic powder, grated Parmesan cheese, and pepper. Dip the squash stick in the egg mixture and coat each side with the Parmesan mixture and place it on the parchment or baking sheet in a single layer.⁣
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes and flip the fries and rotate the pan halfway through until the color turns dark golden.⁣
  5. Place under the broiler until the fries turn crispy and darker golden (about 2–3 minutes).
